Guest host month continues as we’re joined by Australian Survivor’s Matt Dyson to cover the 1998 comedy blockbuster There’s Something About Mary. Why does this comedy hold up so well more than 20 years later when other comedies don’t? How perfect is the cast, from Diaz, Stiller and Dillon to all of the bit players with only a few lines? How many iconic scenes does this movie have that are still so well known today? How did a bunch of Australian teenagers prevent this from being the highest grossing film of the year? And how crazy does the Extended Edition sound that we feel compelled to cover this movie all over again once we see that version? It’s a recap so funny it will stick with you like a nice glob of “hair gel”.
